The 'sensitivity' slider is for smoothing controller inputs, shouldn't need it on steering wheels, leave it full left. Note that as you move the slider to the right, the centre area of the wheel's total travel range will become less sensitive but the outer area will become MORE sensitive ( and visa-versa), it's a compromise. Give that a try then come back and move the slider further right to decrease the centre-travel sensitivity more, or further left to increase the sensitivity. Set the both sensitivity and non-linearity sliders all the way left to start with, then adjust the non-linearity slider from full-left toward the right about 25%. If you use 900 degree steering angle, you can get away with using much less artificial sensitivity reduction. They also have BIG steering wheels, which further decreases perceived sensitivity. A real truck will typically have lock-lock steering wheel angles of around 4 or 5 turns. The steering wheel in the cab is just animation, it has nothing to do with anything, forget about trying to match it.

In Logitech Profiler, I've set the following settings:įor my in-game control settings, have a look at this screenshot. I've never driven a real truck, but shouldn't it be the other way around? Right now it feels as if FFB kicks in around 65 kph or so and keeps on getting stronger with increasing speed. Also I've noticed that the steering wheel/truck is easier to turn at slower speeds than when compared to cruising down a highway at 100+ kph. To somewhat counteract this effect I've to set a small steering deadzone.

Even the slightest movement in the steering wheel makes the truck respond immediately and roll from one side to another, and consequently it gets difficult to keep it within a lane. Anyone have any good ones? I'm just not getting the "real" feel of a driving a huge beast.
